Stress Reduction for those in the Human Services

Are you stressed out?  Is the human services field, working with children and other people, overwhelming for you at times?  Are you experiencing feeliings of exhaustion, decreased motivation, or a hard time either falling asleep or staying asleep?  If so, you're not alone AND research shows that these symptoms can be improved through developing a regular self-care routine.

Beginning this fall, St. Clair County RESA will be launching a new, all encompassing course, in Stress Reduction for those in Human Services.  This course is also know as John Kabat Zinn's, MBSR or Mindful Based Stress Reduction and will focus on developing options for effective self-care routines through Mindfulness, Intentional Breathing or Breathwork, and Gentle Yoga.

Full completion of this course would earn 27 Social Work CE's covering your Pain Management requirement and/or 27 SCECH's for Teachers.

If you are not quite sure this is for you, drop in to one of our 60 minute Introduction sessions to see what this is all about in September of 2023.  Flyers will go out and the dates and times can be found below and on the St Clair County RESA website.

The full 8 week course will launch in October.  See both the Introductory Presentation Dates/Times as well as the Full 8 week Course Date/Times Below.
