Participants will get an overview of the Literacy Essentials for Prekindergarten, including some background information on how, when, and why the essentials were created.  During the training, teachers will have the opportunity to review each literacy essential and reflect on how they are implementing it in their own classrooms. Teachers will be able to share their ideas, and learn from each other in both large and small group discussions.  Goals for implementation will be created before the end of the session.
