The blood borne pathogens course is designed to provide an overview of the dangers posed by bloodborne pathogens and steps you can take to protect yourself and others from exposure. The bullying course provides school faculty and staff members with a better understanding of bullying behavior, as well as their obligations to help prevent bullying. Participants will hear stories from real students on their experiences with bullying, how it affected them, and what they think schools could do to help them. The goal of the medication administration course is to provide school staff members with a basic understanding of the procedures required to safely administer an epinephrine auto-injector to a student. Lastly, as part of the new law, schools in Michigan must adopt a consistent local policy for the use of seclusion and restraint and also provide “awareness training” for all school staff and personnel who are expected to have regular contact with students. This training has been reviewed and approved for compliance by the Michigan Department of Education to satisfy the “awareness training” mandate.
