During this training, participants will reflect back on the previous training and discuss how their new knowledge and skills have been reflected in the classroom. Time will be spent on group discussions and reflections. Teachers will also take a deeper dive into Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and how this impacts children and families in their classrooms. Participants will learn about the Strengthening Families Framework and resiliency research from a variety of resources. They will also explore the science of relational discipline, social and affective neuroscience, and how these influence behaviors, relationships, and academic acquisition. Teachers will engage in lots of hands-on activities that they can incorporate into their everyday classroom activities.
