CPI Initial Foundation Course Blended Online and In Person

The CPI Virtual Class begins on  02-18-25.  You have two weeks to complete this.
This course will be delivered using a blended learning model.  You will need to complete an online course entitled NCI Flex - Education in the two weeks prior to this in person course. Once you sign up for this course two weeks prior to the in person training date you will get a link to the online course.  The online course course takes approximately 2.5 hours to complete.  The online course needs to be completed prior to coming to the in person training day.  If you have not completed the online portion of the course then you will be ineligible to participate in the in person course.  Port Huron School District requires that you have completed the online course two days prior to the in person course or they will cancel your participation in the in person course.

The online course will cover topics such as prevention and deceleration strategies, decision making and an introduction to disengagement skills for managing risk behavior.  The in person course will review the prevention strategies and teach physical intervention as a last resort and appropriate to the level of presented risk.
