Choose a grade level session and come spend the day learning about how to introduce, teach and assess basic fact fluency at your grade level. Teachers will be given a complete kit that includes all materials needed for students to talk, play, and learn their basic fact strategies. Teachers will learn about which instructional approaches to use - and others to avoid. The session will follow the grade level expectations: kindergarten will focus on sums to 5, first grade sums to 10, and second grade sums to 20. This session will promote a 10-15 minute, 3-4 times a week routine that will help students thrive in their basic fact knowledge. Teachers will also explore the Essential Instructional Practices in Early Mathematics: Pre Kindergarten to Grade 5 document, to see how and where basic fact fluency fits with the Essentials. Tuesday, October 15th will be K at RESA East (1111 Delaware). Wednesday, October 9th will be First Grade at the RESA Admin Building. Friday, October 19th will be Second Grade at RESA East. Tuesday, October 22nd will be K at RESA Admin Building. Wednesday, October 23rd will be First Grade at RESA Admin Building. Tuesday, October 29th will be Second Grade at RESA East.
