Effective Behavior Assessment and Intervention Series

Day  3:
Jessica Minahan is a board-certified behavior analyst and special educator who serves as the director of behavioral services at the Neuropsychology & Education Services for Children & Adolescents group practice in Newton, Massachusetts, USA and as a consultant to clients nationwide.  She is coauthor of The Behavior Code: A Practical Guide to Understanding and Teaching the Most Challenging Students.
Once we hear from Jessica Minahan, the afternoon will be spent exploring a research based fidelity tool for behavior Intervention Plans from The University of South Florida (USF).  Small groups will explore local examples of Behavior Intervention Plans while doing a crosswalk comparison to the critical components, using the BIP Technical Adequacy Evaluation Tool.  This is an extremely powerful and objective way to look at and become more experienced with the ciritcal components to completing a BIP that will produce the outcomes school teams are seeking.
