Self-Contained Classroom Engagement Strategies (Preschool to 5th Grade)
June 24th and 25th, 2025
This two day professional development will focus on strategies that will increase engagement for students in Elementary Self-Contained Classrooms. We will take a close look at the Cognitive and Achievement Evaluations to break down what each subtest is evaluating and how to interpret the scores to predict strengths and weaknesses in a students learning profile and how to adjust your teaching strategies to best meet the needs of your students. We will discuss Data collection that will drive your instruction and content of the IEP. In addition we will cover the following topics: Differentiation, inclusion with Peer to Peer,incorporating CORE into your classroom, Story Champs, Executive Functioning and visuals and Functional Communication.
There will be a 599.00 stipend for attending both days for Teachers Teaching in St. Clair County RESA
