CVI Back to Basics: Assessment Training
Join the Michigan Department of Education – Resource for Blind/Low Vision (MDE RBLV) and St. Clair County RESA for an in-depth, day and a half training focused on Cortical Visual Impairment (CVI).
This professional learning opportunity will explore:
· Characteristics and medical conditions associated with CVI
· Assessment protocols and tools
· Identification of visual behaviors across the phases of CVI
· Effective assessment techniques and intervention strategies
· Methods to support access to the general education curriculum and promote success in orientation and mobility
Participation Details:
All participants are required to complete the virtual training (Part One) prior to attending the in-person session.
The hands-on, in-person session is limited to 20 participants. Lunch will be provided.
