Come spend the day learning about how to introduce, teach and assess basic fact fluency at your grade level. Teachers will be given a complete kit that includes all materials needed for students to talk, play, and learn their basic fact strategies. Teachers will learn about which instructional approaches to use - and others to avoid. The session will follow the grade level expectations: kindergarten will focus on sums to 5, first grade sums to 10, and second grade sums to 20. This session will promote a 10-15 minute, 3-4 times a week routine that will help students thrive in their basic fact knowledge.
